Africa: Over 8.8 Million Confirmed Covid-19 Cases Across Continent

As of December 11, 2021, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached  8,869,367 while over  164,426,678  vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  224,591 and  8,138,245  people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases  3,112,469  and 90,080  people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  951,267  ), Tunisia (  719,247  ), Libya (  377,450  ), Ethiopia (  372,868  ), Egypt ( 367,456 ) and Kenya (  255,932  ).
