Africa: Continent Nears 9 Million Confirmed Cases of Covid-19

As of December 14, 2021, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 8,965,128 while over  164,971,945 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  224,989  and  8,187,312  people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases  3,180,785  and  90,148 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  951,544 ), Tunisia (  719,662 ), Libya  (  379,328 ), Ethiopia (  373,240   ), Egypt (  369,997 ) and Kenya (  256,484 ).
