Africa: Over 5 Million Covid-19 Vaccinations Administered Across Continent in 24 Hours

As of December 22, 2021, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached  9,257,141 while over  178,385,705 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  226,229 and  8,371,635 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases  3,332,008 and  90,488 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 953,297  ), Tunisia ( 721,450  ), Libya  (  382,884  ), Ethiopia (  379,379 ), Egypt (  377,081  ) and Kenya (  267,571 ).
