Tunisia: UGTT Utterly Opposed to Five-Year Freeze On Civil Service Wages

Tunis/Tunisia — The labour union is strongly opposed to a five-year freeze on civil service wages and the gradual lifting of subsidy until 2026, said assistant secretary general in charge of state enterprises Slaheddine Selmi.

The Tunisian General Labour Union (French: UGTT) is intent on having the minutes of the previous agreement with the government on wage hikes in November 2021 implemented.
