Ousman Saidyba, public relations officer and head of Drug Demand Reduction Unit at the Drug Law Enforcement Agency - The Gambia (DLEAG), has said that: "The Gambia, a country where most youth are engaged in drug use, is yet to have a special drug treatment facility."
He added the only place The Gambia has for treatment is "Tanka Tanka" Psychiatric Hospital which is not a specialised drug treatment facility.
