Africa: Continent Nears 11.5 Million Confirmed Cases of Covid-19

As of April 27, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 11,497,393 while over 282,705,455 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached   252,844 and 9,658,402 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of   3,769,927 and  100,348 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  1,164,774 ) , Tunisia ( 1,040,193 ), Egypt ( 515,645 ), Libya ( 501,904 ),  Ethiopia (  470,468 ), and Kenya (  323,723 ).
