Africa: Covid-19 Infections, Recoveries Climb Steadily Across Continent

As of May 3, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached  11,528,483 while over  292,526,139 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  252,873 and  9,677,114 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of  3,798,413 and  100,370 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  1,164,984 ) , Tunisia (  1,040,193 ), Egypt (  515,645 ), Libya (  501,904 ),  Ethiopia (  470,587 ), and Kenya (  323,792 ).
