Angola: Petro De Luanda Seeking Third Club Cup Win

Luanda — Petro de Luanda are looking for their third victory in the African Cup Winners' Cup in senior women's handball, when they face (10:00 am) the FAP of Cameroon, in a match for the third round of the competition, which takes place in Niamey, Niger.

In the continental competition, the Angolan representative beat DGSP of Congo 36-16, on Thursday, after having defeated, in the debut, the Bandama of Côte d'Ivoire.

On Monday, the athletes of coach Vivaldo Eduardo will end their participation in the event in before Bandama da Côte d'Ivoire, at 04:00 pm.

In another challenge, the DGSP of Congo face the FAP of Cameroon.

The competition, which is played in the system of all against all, saw its participants reduced from seven to just four, which forced a change in the pairing of the competition.

Petro de Luanda are the champions, after beating TKC (25-21), in the 2021 final, in Morocco.
