The 9th Triad Meeting focused on making the Global Strategic Directions for Nursing and Midwifery 2021-2025, adopted by the Seventy-fourth World Health Assembly, operational in countries. Speakers from 22 countries shared how they have successfully leveraged the the strategic directions document and the political will expressed by Member States through World Health Assembly resolution WHA74.15 to advance national and sub-national nursing or midwifery priorities.

The speakers underscored the importance of robust national data and intersectoral policy dialogue for informed decision-making around investments to strengthen primary health care and advance toward universal health coverage.

The "Triad Statement" summarizes actions to which delegates committed, relative to their respective roles and country contexts, to advance policies and investments in the education, jobs, safeguarding and protection of the health workforce, including midwives and nurses.
