Africa: Over 11.6 Million Confirmed Cases of Covid-19 Across Continent

As of May 18, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached  11,645,147 while over  297,944,518 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  253,443 and  9,752,509 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of  3,899,841 and  100,812 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  1,165,984 ) , Tunisia (  1,041,197 ), Egypt (  515,645 ), Libya (  501,904 ),  Ethiopia (  471,040 ), and Kenya (  324,071 ).
