Africa: Continent Nears 11.7 Million Confirmed Cases of Covid-19

As of May 25, 2022, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached  11,693,090 while over  299,944,465 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.

Reported deaths in Africa reached  253,726 and  9,820,754 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases of  3,935,761 and  101,002  people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco (  1,166,916 ) , Tunisia (  1,042,362 ), Egypt (  515,645 ), Libya (  501,904 ),  Ethiopia (  471,527 ), and Kenya (  324,349 ).
