The Menstrual She-bang Fashion show is a multi-fashion event that was held on May 28 at Design Hub in Industrial area, Bugolobi.

The Menstrual She-bang Fashion, now in its second edition, celebrates World Menstrual Hygiene day. The event, organized by Wuzi Africa, featured seven designers, who showcased their clothes with a theme aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of sexual reproductive health and rights.

Shyka Lwanyaaga, the founder of The Wellbeing Foundation, said this year, they are focusing on unlocking the potential of young people, especially those from marginalized communities, through storytelling.

"Just like the first edition where most of the models showcased outfits with a touch of red [to mirror the theme 'period shame'], the same will happen this year since the show is about menstrual hygiene and addressing sexual reproductive health and rights," Lwanyaaga said.

The clothes were beautiful and the models graceful, bringing elegance to an otherwise sensitive topic that is the centre of women's lives.
