A heavy Fighting between government forces backed by Macawisley, a local militia group, and Al-Shabaab occurred in central Somalia. The fighting took place in areas around Beledweyne town, the regional capital of Hiran region.
Al-Shabaab militants have claimed responsibility for the attack. The situation is calm today, with government forces and local militias in full control of the area.
