Zambia: 'IMF Deal On Course'

THE Ministry of Finance and National Planning says the Government is expecting the International Monetary Fund (IMF) bailout package to be agreed by the end of this month.

The ministry says there are, however, still some finalisation steps that need to be undertaken first before that happens.

The finalisation steps that need to be undertaken are mainly related to the debt restructuring process before the IMF management and board consider and approve the support programme for Zambia.
