Angola: Sonangol Spends More Than Kz 6 Billion On Repairing Streets

Saurimo — State-run oil firm Sonangol announced the funding of Kz 6.9 billion to repair eight streets in Santo António neighborhood, on the outskirts of Saurimo, eastern Lunda Sul province.

The ceremony for requalification and paving programme of eight streets, with 10 km long each, was launched on Saturday, 2nd, in the province's capital.

The project is in charge of the civil construction company Engevia, with supervision by VPN Consultores, in 10 month period.

Speaking at the programme launch ceremony, the representative of Sonangol, Eusébio Vunge, said that, in addition to paving the roads, the programme includes sidewalks, rainwater drainage system, public lighting, with 350 poles, among other services.

In turn, the governor of Lunda Sul, Daniel Neto, said that the measure aims to improve the local population's living quality.
