Angola: Sonangol and South Korean Companies Exchange Experience

Luanda — A delegation of specialists from Sonangol is visiting South Korea from the 9th to the 16th of July, at the invitation of the Africa-Korea Economic Development Association (AKEDA) with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experiences within the framework of the partnership between the both countries institutions.

The visit is part of the memorandum signed between Sonangol and AKEDA, which aims to carry out joint activities related to the construction and repair of ships in Angola to allow the start of the Angolan ship repair industry at an international level.

According to a note from the Angolan oil company, on Monday, 11 July, the Angolan delegation held a courtesy meeting, at the headquarters of the Angolan diplomatic mission, with the Angolan ambassador to South Korea, Edgar Gaspar Martins.

On the Tuesday, the Sonangol delegation, along with a diplomat from the Angolan mission in Seoul, visited the shipyards of "Hyundai Heavy Industries", in the town of Busan, which is 329 kilometers from Seoul - the country's capital.
