Angola: Elections 2022 - Cne Releases Television Airtime, Pha Comes First

Luanda - National Electoral Commission (CNE) Wednesday announced airtime for political parties contending in the upcoming general elections set for August 24, 2022 in Angola.

During a draw held at CNE premises and chaired by its president Manuel Pereira da Silva, it was defined that in the Public Television of Angola (TPA), the draw placed the PHA party in the first position.

The election body also announced other parties, as follows: CASA-CE, PRS, FNLA, UNITA, APN, P-NJANGO and MPLA.

Each political party and coalition of parties will be entitled to five minutes of airtime, starting at 6 pm.

In the radio station field, the draw placed PRS in first place, followed by CASA-CE, MPLA, UNITA, PHA, P-NJANGO, APN and FNLA.

The airtime in this media outlet (radio) will start at 3 pm, and each political party and coalition of parties will be given 10 minutes.

Under the Law, the election campaign starts 30 days before the vote. Therefore, it will start on July 22 and going until August 22.

August 23 is reserved for the voters to reflect.

In addition to the representatives of the list of the political parties and the coalition of parties, the draw was attended by guests.
