Angola: Elections 2022 - MPLA President Arrives in Cuanza Sul

Sumbe — The MPLA candidate for President of the Republic João Lourenço arrived Tuesday in Sumbe, Cuanza Sul province, as part of the electoral campaign underway in the country.

In Cuanza Sul, according to the programme reached ANGOP, the head of the MPLA list will lead, on Wednesday, a mass political event.

This year's elections, which will have the participation of Angolans in the abroad for the first time, are the fifth in Angola's history, after those in 1992, 2008, 2012 and 2017.

14.3 million voters are expected, of whom 22,560 residing abroad.
