Saurimo — MPLA party said that it will continue to promote programmes to reduce social inequality, in view of the ongoing progress.
The first secretary of MPLA party in the eastern Lunda Sul province, Daniel Neto, made the pledge on Tuesday during his party's campaign.
Daniel Neto, who was busy with door-to-door campaign, on behalf of the party, said in the case of re-election MPLA will focus its social policy on creation of decent living conditions.
He said that party will look to the individual and collective initiatives to ensure the autonomy, community integration and social role of the most disadvantaged groups.
He said that the party will address the problems of Education, Health, employment, vocational training and social security, housing and culture.
Specific issues linked to children, youth, the elderly, women and the disabled will be the top priority.
A total of 14.3 million voters, of whom 22.560 are residing abroad, are eligible to vote in the elections.
