Angola Armed Forces Reaffirm Engagement in Staff Training

Luanda — Angola government is engaged in the training of national cadres of the Angola Armed Forces (FAA) in various fields, as part of its rebuilding process, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, General Egídio de Sousa Santos, said Wednesday.

The General made the statement at the presentation ceremony of military cadres recently graduated with a PhD degree from the Agostinho Neto University.

"We hope that the new cadres can meet the challenges that are imposed", the general said.

On his turn, the Chief of the Main Directorate of Troops Preparation and Education, Lieutenant General Samuel Zinga, said the training of cadres constitutes one of the fundamental pillars for the support of the military units.

"This was the case during the creation of the FAA and also currently in the process of rebuilding and modernizing the three branches of the Angolan Armed Forces", the Lieutenant said.

The ceremony was also marked by the signing of a framework agreement between the FAA and Agostinho Neto University.
