Angola: Women's Team Qualify for Semi-Finals of U-18 Afrobasket

Luanda — The under-18 women's national team qualified for the semi-finals of the category (Afrobasket), by beating Uganda today by 57-44, in the quarter-final match, played at the Vatofotsy Gymnasium, Madagascar.

The national team were already winning at half-time by 36-20, after being at a disadvantage in the first half of the match by 12-15.

In the third quarter, the national team maintained the same impetus, expanding the lead to 15 points, setting the score at 52-37.

In the fourth and final period, the Angolans surpassed the opponent, culminating the match with a 57-44 victory.

The Angolan athlete Arminda Sandalawa, with 14 points, was the best scorer of the match.
