Angola: Newly Appointed Executive Pledges to Work Harder

Luanda — Angolan Government promised to work harder and communicate better in the next five years, aimed at ensuring better service for the Angolan people and nation.

The Executive needs to work harder since the start of its mandate, the head State João Lourenço said at the swearing-in ceremony of ministers of State and ministers appointed last Friday.

"We need to work faster from the beginning (... ) so that at the end we can say "task done", we served the Angolan people and nation very well", he said.

As for the appointment of ministers who came from the previous term, the head of the Executive said it was a vote of confidence, adding that they can do better in the next five years.

In his short speech, the president João Lourenço said that most of the former Executive team who "worked in the midst of countless adversities, knew how to overcome them and make great achievements".
