Angola/Namibia: Sports Minister Witnesses Angola Under-23 Football Team Beat Namibia

Luanda — The newly appointed minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa, made Wednesday her first public appearance during the national Under-23 football team's 2-1 win over Namibia, in Luanda.

Days after taking office, the official witnessed Angola moving from a 1-0 disadvanatge to recover and win by 2-1.

Angola was losing by 0-1 with a goal scored by Gonzales at minute 58', however Bito at 63' and Picas at 70' helped Angola come from behind and lead the first leg of the penultimate round of access to CAN '2023, in Morocco.

Speaking to the press, the Sports minister said the time is not yet for celebration, although that is a good step for the team to overcome the opponent in the second leg.

The second leg match will take place again in Luanda at the request of the Namibians.
