Namibia/Angola: Angola U-23 Thrash Namibia, Continue in Can Qualifier "Race"

Luanda — Angola Under-23 national football team qualified Saturday in Luanda for the last round qualifier for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN2023) to take place in Morocco, after thrashing Namibia 6-0, in the second leg, played at Luanda's 11 de Novembro Stadium.

The goals of the Angolan Olympic team were scored by Benvindo (5'), Ben Arfa (23'), Capita (29'e 77'), Bito (45') and Melono (84').

The match attended by the minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa, and the governor of the Province of Luanda, Manuel Homem, qualified the Angolan team for the last elimination round of the CAN competition.

The Namibian team also played the second match in Luanda, due to the ban on their stadium by the Confederation of Africa Football over lack of technical conditions.

Angolan won the first leg-encounter by 2-0.

Angola face Cameroon in the next round round.

The CAN2023, in Morocco also qualifies for the Olympic Games of Paris2024.
