Africa: Unitaid-Sponsored Programs Progress Toward the 90 Percent Treatment Target for Women With Precancerous Lesions

press release

Two years following the launch of the Global Strategy, Unitaid-supported programs are paving the way for the achievement of the 90% target for treatment of women identified with pre-cancerous lesions across seven countries: Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Malawi, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda and Senegal.

Unitaid has remained a dedicated partner driving the elimination agenda with significant investments to expand access to affordable and innovative treatment technologies. Partnering with CHAI and the SUCCESS consortium (Expertise France, Jhpiego, and the Union for International Cancer Control), Unitaid-funded programming supports cervical cancer treatment services in 14 countries.
