Algeria: 2022, Year of Listing of Raï Music By Unesco

Algiers — In the field of cultural heritage, the year 2022 have been marked by the inclusion of the Algerian popular Raï music in UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, bringing to nine the number of listed elements of Algerian intangible heritage.
