Angola: Congolese Diplomat Presents Copies of Credentials

Luanda — The Congolese diplomat, Constantin Kalala, appointed ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to Angola, on Friday in Luanda presented the copies of his credentials to Foreign minister Téte António.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex), the occasion also served for the two officials to talk about the deepening of friendship and cooperation relations between Angola and the Democratic Congo.

Angola and DRC enjoy good political and diplomatic relations and share a vast border.

Constantin Kalala and Téte António have signed several agreements covering, among other areas of cooperation, such as defence and security, trade and transport.

Angola and the DRC belong to the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).
