The African Development Bank's African Natural Resources Management and Investment Centre will hold a workshop to officially launch its multi-country Governing Natural Resource Outflows for Enhanced Economic Resilience in Fragile and Transitional Countries (GONAT) Project.

GONAT is an innovative project that seeks to build national capacity for governing natural resource outflows by addressing resource backed loans and the illicit natural resources trade, in order to strengthen domestic resource mobilization, debt sustainability and overall economic resilience in selected transitional African countries. It will be implemented over a two year period in the following countries: Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe.

The hybrid Inception and Learning Workshop.event will bring together senior government officials from the six beneficiary countries, senior management and staff of the African Development Bank, national focal points from beneficiary countries. GONAT project task team members, private sector, civil society organisations and multilateral development organisations are also expected in attendance.
