Angola: Parliament Speaker Calls for Dialogue to End Russia/Ukraine Conflict

Luanda — National Assembly (AN) Speaker Carolina Cerqueira Thursday predicted the achievement of peace in Ukraine as soon as possible.

In her speech, delivered the opening of the 4th Ordinary Plenary Meeting of the 1st Session of the V Legislature of Parliament, Carolina Cerqueira called for an urgent and constructive dialogue in respect for International Law, the sovereignty and integrity of States.

She said these are the required conditions to put an end to a war with catastrophic effects, whose consequences are unpredictable in Europe and the world.

The statement comes at a time the conflict between Russia and Ukraine lasts one year.
