Kenya: PSC to Interview 48 Chief Administrative Secretary Candidates Per Day

Nairobi — The Public Service Commission (PSC) will be interviewing 48 Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) per day, so as to finish interviewing all the 240 candidates in 5 days.

According to the schedule each candidate will have 30 minutes before the panel.

They will be appearing between 8:30am -3:30pm, at the Commission's office in Harambee Avenue.

The interviews which will begin Wednesday will all 240 candidates fighting for only available 22 CAS slots.

According to PSC, the CAS posts attracted a total of 4,000 applicants.

Those appearing on day one are former Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal, former Narok Deputy Governor Evalyn Aruasa, ex-KNUT SG Wilson Sossion, Dennis Itumbi, Isaac Mwaura, Thomas Letangule, Charles Njagua, Margaret Wanjiru and Fred Seghor.

Several panels made up of the commissioners have been set up to grill the individuals on their suitability for the lucrative jobs.

"Candidates should bring originals of academic and professional certificates and transcripts and valid clearances from the Kenya revenue authority, higher education loans board, registered credit reference bureau and police clearance certificate," a notice from the Commission reads in part.

Besides this, candidates are expected to bring a printed online self-declaration application acknowledgement receipt or a self-declaration form duly stamped by the EACC.
