Mozambican civil society organizations, Government officials and partners are invited to the African Development Bank's CSO Open Day in Maputo. The forum will entail discussion of the bank's country strategy and its investment portfolio in Mozambique and identify opportunities and interventions to accelerate the sustainable and inclusive development of the country.

Bank Country Manager Cesar Mba Abogo invites civil society organizations to an open conversation to raise the voices of poor and marginalized people, advocate the work they do on the ground-- particularly relating to governance and post-conflict challenges, and to increase public sector accountability and transparency through their advocacy for good governance.

The bank uses open day events to exchange ideas and interact with civil society groups in regional member countries. This week's forum also offers a mechanism to work closely with relevant stakeholders to mount an effective and comprehensive response to Mozambique's challenges.

Most importantly, it provides a forum for civil society to provide feedback, share updates on focus areas and linkages to bank projects. They can also find synergies with like-minded organizations to achieve life-changing solutions for communities.
