Kenya: DPP Seeks to Withdraw Charges Against Ex-PS Omollo in NYS Graft Case

Nairobi — Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has filed an application seeking to withdraw graft charges against former PS for youth and gender affairs Lilian Omollo.

When the matter came up before trial Magistrate Peter Ooko, the court was informed that Defense lawyers involving Sh468 million being money paid to suppliers from National Youth Service (NYS),the application for withdrawal should be served upon all parties before the court makes a determination to withdraw.

The court directed that the application be served to all parties and the matter be mentioned on Friday for directions.
