Tanzania: President Samia Makes Minor Reshuffle of Deputy PS

President Samia has appointed Engineer Rogatus Mativila as the new Deputy Permanent Secretary in the President's Office (Regional Administration and Local governments (PO-RALG)) responsible for infrastructure.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Mativila was the Chief Executive of the Tanzania Roads Agency (Tanroads).

A statement issued on Tuesday by the Director of Presidential Communications, Zuhura Yunus, President Samia named Eng Mohamed Besta as the new Chief Executive Officer of Tanroads.

Eng Besta is taking over from Eng Mativila who has been promoted to Deputy Permanent Secretary.

Eng Besta was the Director Technical of Tanzania Civil Aviation safety and security Oversight Agency -( EAC CASSOA).

Meanwhile, Benedict Wakulyamba has been named as the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism.

Wakulyamba is taking over from Mr Anderson Mutatembwa who has been transferred to Prime Minister's office (Policy, Parliamentary Affairs and coordination) as the new Deputy Permanent secretary.

On the other side, President also appointed Eng Amin Mcharo as the new Chairman of the Advisory Board (TANROADS).

The appointment was effective from June 12, this year.
