Kenya: KMRC Appoints 3 New Non-Executive Directors

Nairobi — The Kenya Mortgage Refinancing Company (KMRC) has three new non-executive directors following the retirement of previous officeholders.

They include KCB Managing Director Annastacia Kimtai, Cassia Capital Partners Imtiaz Khan, and High Court Advocate Jane Mwangi.

Their appointments are awaiting approval from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK).

In their roles, Kimtai, Khan, and Mwangi will provide independent views on business, governance, and the boardroom.

Kimtai replaces Samuel Mwangi Makome, who retired from the position in December 2022.

She holds a Master of Business Administration and Strategic Management degree as well as being a Certified Executive Coach from the Academy of Executive Coaching (AOEC).

Khan co-founded Cassia, a regional private equity investment company. He is a certified public accountant.

Mwangi replaces Sarah Talaso Bonaya, who retired from the board in March last year.

"We thank the retired directors for their exceptional leadership and contribution to the actualization of the Company's strategic plan and objectives," stated Haron Sirima, the Chairman of KMRC.

"Further, the Board congratulates and welcomes Mrs. Kimtai, Mr. Khan and Mrs. Mwangi and wishes them the best in their new roles," echoed Sirirma.
