Kenya: Police Lob Teargas to Disperse Protestors in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nyamira, Kisii,

Nairobi — Police on Wednesday lobbed teargas to disperse demonstrators in Mathare, Nairobi.

Protestors in Mombasa, Nyamira, Kisii and Nakuru were also dispersed even as they blocked roads and burnt tires.

In Mombasa, police officers have now blocked Moi Avenue, not allowing the group to pass through.

Earlier in Kisumu, the streets remained clear save for boda boda riders with very few passengers to ferry.

At Kondele, demonstrators have started to stream in, standing in groups with armed security officers spotted in Kondele police station.

Along Jomo Kenyatta Highway, police officers are stationed at Patel's Flat.
