President Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed Mohbare Matinyi as the Director General of Tanzania Information Services-MAELEZO and Chief Government's Spokesperson.
A State House statement issued on Sunday said Matinyi's appointment is effective immediately.
Prior to his new roles, Matinyi was Temeke District Commissioner in Dar es Salaam.
The appointee is taking over from Mr Gerson Msigwa who was recently appointed as the Permanent Secretary in the Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports.
