Nairobi — The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has re-deployed Lilian Nyawanda as the Commissioner of Customs and Border Control (C&BC).
Nyawanda will oversee the department's core business of trade facilitation, border control, and revenue mobilisation.
"The re-deployment follows her release by the National Treasury and Economic Planning, where she served on secondment," read a statement by KRA.
She had served in the post for over two years before her secondment to the National Treasury and Economic Planning.
KRA is optimistic about her's vast knowledge and expertise in the public and private sectors.
She boasts a Master degree in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from the United States International University and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) degree from the University of Nairobi.
