Hollywood's darling, Lupita Nyong'o, has called it quits with Selema Masekela, son of the legendary Hugh Masekela.

After a year of sweet snaps and vacay vibes, suddenly it's solo selfies for the Oscar winner!

Lupita spilt the tea on Instagram with a touching statement.

"In the spotlight of heartbreak. I'm stepping out, not hiding!" she declared, proving once again she's a queen of eloquence.

She added a dash of wisdom, reminding us all that "a big heartbreak means an even bigger love was there".

Selema, a TV host, sports commentator and surfing fanatic (who also had a high school bromance with rapper Method Man!), is keeping quiet on the split.

But Lupita? She's gone full clean-up on aisle Instagram, deleting all traces of their once Instagram-official love.

But it's not all gloomy skies and tear-stained pillows. The Black Panther star is looking forward, embracing the pain and preaching about wisdom in heartbreak.

Selema, or "Sal" as he's known in the States, isn't just riding on his dad's reputation. Nope, this 52-year-old has made waves in the world of sports commentary and is quite the catch himself. But for now, it seems he's riding solo.
