Nairobi — Firms and individuals will receive training on re-insurance products through Kenya Re's Training Academy.
The institution will offer free training delivered by instructors with a focus on re-insurance and direct insurance products.
"Continuous training is essential for the sustainable growth and development of players across the industry," the Company's Managing Director Hillary Maina said.
"The Academy is a key initiative in bridging some of the skills gap in the sector," Maina added.
The re-insurer adds that the country has seen an upsurge in a younger workforce with inadequate experience and knowledge in the re-insurance realm.
Part of the training mandate is to fill the knowledge gap in areas of cyber security, climate change, data analytics, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
