The African Public Procurement Network will hold its 3rd General Assembly from 13 to 16 November in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire on « Public Procurement for sustainable development in Africa».

Hosted by the Autorité nationale de régulation des marchés publics (ANRMP) of Côte d'Ivoire, the event will be co-sponsored by the African Development Bank, the World Bank and the Islamic Development Bank.

The APPN is open to all 54 African states, of which 43 (Francophone, Anglophone, Lusophone and Arab) have already joined the network since it was first established in 2018 in Lomé, Togo. The main purpose of the APPN is to provide a platform for learning and networking to public procurement policy makers, regulators and practitioners of its member countries.

Among the participants present at the APPN 3rd General Assembly will be :

Representatives from North Africa Sub-regional Public Procurement Network (NASPPN): Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, South Sudan, and Tunisia.

Representatives from East Africa Sub-regional Public Procurement Network (EASPPN): Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Representatives from West Africa Sub-regional Public Procurement Network (WASPPN): Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo.

Representatives from Central Africa Sub-regional Public Procurement Network (CASPPN): Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and São Tomé & Príncipe.

Representatives of multilateral development banks: African Development Bank, World Bank and Islamic Development Bank.

There will be interpretation in English, French and Portuguese throughout the conference.
