Kenya: Kiambu Teacher Charged With Leaking KCPE Exams on Whatsapp, Telegram

Kiambu — A teacher has been charged for circulating information about Kenya national examination papers.

The accused Nicholas Ngumbau aka 'examiner' was charged before Senior Principal Magistrate Benard Ochoi where he denied the offense.

According to the prosecution, he posted that he had KCPE examination papers on his WhatsApp and Telegram platforms.

The court ordered him to deposit a cash bail of Sh100 000 plus one contact person or provide a bond of Sh200 000 with two sureties.

The accused was arrested on October 26 in Gikambura area of Kiambu county and is said to have opened 10 WhatsApp accounts and telegram.

The arrest and arraignment of the accused in court comes at a time when the national examination has started
