Kenya Railways Increases SGR Fares From Jan 1

Nairobi — Kenya Railways is set to increase fares in the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) train with effect from January 1.

In a statement, the company stated that this is due to the hike in fuel prices that has increased operatinal costs.

First class tickets to Mombasa will now cost Sh4,500 while those travelling in Economy will pay Sh1,500.
