Nakuru — In a rare show of gratitude Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has commended former President Uhuru Kenyatta for the establishment of Huduma Centres in the country.

Kuria who is known for all manner of vitriol against Kenyatta since he joined the Tanga Tanga brigade in the run-up to 2022 General elections said the idea of Huduma Centres which offers all government services in one shop was brilliant.

He also commended Governor Anne Waiguru who was the then Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning Ministry saying the she, together with Kenyatta implemented the.

Speaking in Nakuru during the 10th Anniversary of Huduma Kenya Service Delivery Programme celebrations, Kuria said the current regime led by President William Ruto would expand the programme to Sub-County levels starting with Molo.

"That is how good governments work, one regime starts a good programme and the successive ones grows it to the nest level," said the CS who was accompanied by Nakuru County Commissioner, Loyford Kibaara and Deputy Governor, David Kones.

Kuria said he had talks with Molo MP, Kimani Kuria on the idea of establishing the first Sub-County Huduma Centre in the country.

"I will be having talks with the MPs in three weeks' time to discuss ways of coming up with the centres in the grassroots where the legislators will be using National Government Constituency Development Fund to establish the structures while the National Government deals with the human resource," he said.

He added that County Governments will also be required to chip in the establishment of Huduma Centre Mashinani.

Kuria observed that hundreds of youths were registering businesses at the Huduma centres adding that the government would enroll all the young people who register businesses to Kenya School of Government to educate them on accounting, management and marketing.
