Nairobi — The Homabay girls' team picked up the biggest result on the second day of the Talanta Hela Under-19 football tournament when they thrashed Kisii County 15-0.
The victory took them top of Pool B, while West Pokot are second after also picking a huge result, thrashing Wajir 11-0.
Meanwhile in other results, Kisumu also picked a healthy victory on the opening day of their group stage matches, thrashing home girls Nairobi 8-0, while Nyeri thrashed Samburu 6-1.
Uasin Gishu also started their campaign with a well worked 4-0 victory over Kitui County to kick start their hunt on a positive note.
Also, Nandi and Kwale drew 1-1 while Machakos edged Nakuru by a slim 1-0 margin.
Meanwhile in the boys' matches, Kisumu beat Nyamira 2-0 in a Pool B fixture while Baringo beat Nyeri by a solitary goal.
Kirinyaga picked the biggest victory in the day's matches, thrashing Marsabit 5-0 while Kericho thu,ped Garissa 4-0 and Makueni thrashed Kiambu 3-1.
Mombasa were also off to a positive start edging out West Pokot 2-0 while Baringo edged Nyeri by a solitary goal.
