Kenya: Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua Mourns the Passing of Senator Methu's Father

Nairobi — Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has mourned the passing on Nyandarua Senator Father, Michael Maigo Waweru.

The Deputy President eulogized Waweru as an industrious, focused, and a hard-working parent who gifted Nyandarua electorate with Senator John Methu.

"I have learnt with deep sadness, the passing on of Mr Michael Maigo Waweru, the father of Nyandarua Senator @methumuhia. In him, we have an articulate, vibrant and visionary leader in Senator Methu," Gachagua said.

"I share my deepest condolences to Senator Methu, his family and the People of Nyandarua County. May the Lord grace you with Mercy and Strength at this lowest moment," he added.

Methu announced the demise of his Father yesterday morning terming the pain of the loss immeasurable.

"Death is painful and cruel. The pain of loosing a parent is immeasurable. My dad rested this morning," he wrote on his X platform.

Kipipiri MP Wanjiku Muhia sent his condolences stating, "Pole sana my brother. Indeed it's unbelievable! But take heart together with your family because some things we have no control over. Pole Tena my brother."

TransNzoia Senator Allan Chesangt said,"My condolences dear brother. Mungu awape Nguvu."

Keiyo South MP Gabriel Kimaiyo wrote on his X account,"My heartfelt condolences to you and your family Mhesh. Mungu azidi kuwapa nguvu."
