Kenya: DP Gachagua Says War on Illicit Brews a Success After Many Children Are Sired

Nyeri — Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua says war against illicit brews is a success following increase in number of children in the Central Kenya region.

Speaking when he hosted children for Christmas treat at his rural home in iruri village in Mathira, Gachagua said that following intense fight against the brews many men are siring thus securing the future of the nation.

"I have driven along many villages and I can attest that we are now seeing fruits of our fight against brews going by the numbers of young ones spotted as you drive along am sure we will win," Gachagua stated.

The deputy president said that before the campaigns against brews kicked off, the region future was threatened since not many children were being born.

"Before this campaign which we have won 70 percent a generation was threatened we couldn't see as many children on our villages roads we will soldier on" said Gachagua.

The deputy president who was accompanied by second lady dorcas gachagua said that competence based carriculum is a success after employment of more teachers as recommend by presidential working party on education.

"I want to assure parents that their children education will be a success due to teachers employed by Kenya kwanza administration this is our future as a nation " said Gachagua.

Their has been fear of success of CBC owing to shortage of teachers however kenya kwanza administration has employed over 56,000 teachers as wat of bridging teacher pupil ratio.
