Azimio co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka has taken a swipe at the Kenya Kwanza administration over its continued allegations that they found empty coffers.
He was reacting to president William Ruto's sentiments while distributing Christmas give -aways to his Sugoi constituents where he reiterated that his administration found empty coffers after taking power following their victory in the last general elections.
"There is no evidence of what they are saying about empty coffers, we hear that story, it is a very easy narrative to get away with, the other one you want to confuse Kenyans is state capture while in fact it is them who are now actually doing exactly that," he said.
Kalonzo maintained that the William Ruto led administration disregards the lives of Kenyans, adding that the demonstrations called by Azimio in the year revealed a blatant disregard of human rights instead of sorting out the high cost of living.
He however maintained that Azimio will remain steadfast in holding the government to account over the high cost of living that he adds their counterparts in Kenya Kwanza were hell bent on not lowering during the Bomas talks.
"We tried to tell them to lower the cost of living but they were adamant, "he added.
