Mozambique: Protests Stop Registration in Three Districts

Popular protests against the government have prevented registration in three places. In Gaza in Massingir the protests is about government failure to control elephants, and in Chibuto because of other community demands. In Maputo province the protests result from a conflict over the boundaries between communities in the municipal area and the town of Machiana, at the 3 de Fevereiro Administrative Post, and voter registration at Chibucutso EPC is still suspended.
