Southern Africa: Angolan Referee Elected the Best in Southern Africa

Luanda — Angolan Jerson Emiliano dos Santos was distinguished this Thursday with the award for best referee in Southern Africa, in the first edition of the COSAFA Awards'2023.

In a ceremony held this evening, at the Sandton Convention Centre, in Johannesburg (South Africa), Emiliano's score put him ahead of the Mozambican Arsénio Marengule and the South African Abongile Tom.

This is the inaugural edition of the COSAFA Awards, a ceremony that aims to distinguish the most outstanding players, coaches and referees each year in the southern part of the continent.
