25 August 2024

Nigeria's leading Halal tourism and trade partner, NTT Global Destinations, recently showed its support for the Indonesia-Africa Business Council at the Indonesia Expo, which was hosted in Kano State.

The Indonesian Embassy in Nigeria organised the event in cooperation with the Kano Traders and Entrepreneurs Association.

Minister counsellor of the Indonesian Embassy in Abuja, Fahmi Aris Innayah, said that the Expo served as a vibrant platform to strengthen economic linkages between Indonesia and Nigeria, emphasising Kano state.

CEO of NTT Global Destinations, Elizabeth Agboola, stated, "We are honoured to support the Indonesia-Africa Business Council at this important Expo. Our participation reflects our dedication to promoting Halal trade and tourism, and we are excited about the opportunities this event has created for Nigerian businesses to collaborate with their Indonesian counterparts.

We look forward to building on the relationships established here and contributing to the broader economic partnership between our nations."

General secretary of the Indonesia Africa Business Council, Masni Eritrina, stated, "We're happy to exhibit our products and services in Kano state Nigeria for the first time, and we're positive it won't be the last. We represent over 107 enterprises in Indonesia that are interested in doing business with various African countries, including Nigeria, and we are positive that Nigeria is the future for such trade cooperation. With our similarities in culture, I am also positive we could influence a positive tourism exchange with more Indonesians exploring the beauty of Nigeria as I did during the tours facilitated by our Nigerian partner, NTT Global Destinations."

The Indonesia Expo in Kano State showcased various products, services, and investment opportunities, attracting a diverse audience of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts. The event highlighted the growing interest in strengthening trade relations between Indonesia and Africa, focusing on agriculture, beauty, fashion, food and beverage, manufacturing, defence, technology, education and tourism.
